Relocation, Decommissioning, and the Circular Economy: Keys to Aligning Your Portfolio & People

Thursday, August 1, 2024 | 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM

Four years ago, the COVID-19 pandemic changed workplaces everywhere. Facility Managers and organizations are still facing substantial and lasting impacts to this day.

More and more organizations are trying to lure workers back to offices, but research shows only a small minority (22%) actually want to be there.  As more and more offices lay fallow for longer periods, FMs are facing increasing challenges and pressure to right-size portfolios and many are faced with substantial increases in relocations and decommissioning.

To help FMs make heads and tails of these challenges, this 3-part series will delve into the vocabulary, challenges, and best practices of these project types by convening panels of experts with years of experience in federal and private-sector organizations.  We'll look at these issues from all perspectives and lay out all kinds of options.

This series will present many key stakeholders who will examine each project type, best practices in approaching the planning, execution, and reporting of relocation and decommissioning projects, and the opportunities to optimize and achieve your ESG goals.

Attendees will learn the vocabulary, potential risks, and strategies being applied across the industry to mitigate risk, save time and money, and achieve your sustainability goals however large or small your organization's real estate portfolio.

The first panel on August 1st will present an overview of the market, discuss key terms and concepts, and then hear from our industry panel who will answer your specific questions in an interactive round-table discussion.
